The Asylum's 2019 mockbuster, Monster Island, was released at the exact same time as Godzilla King of the Monsters.

Because this movie is an asylum movie, the budget is roughly equivalent to a big kid’s meal. The film focuses only on a few characters and keeps its big names in one place where all scenes can be shot over lunch. We must not forget that this movie is a kaiju film and, well... that's kind of (see video) how they work. So maybe The Asylum won’t be so terrible with it?
